“If you’re not confident in the authority of the Scriptures, you will be a slave to what sounds right.”

-Matt Chandler
One of the most important reasons the Bible exists today is to guide man closer to God through knowledge and instruction. “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17) The Word of God offers provision for direction and guidance in order to teach us His ways, therefore, through our obedience of letting Scripture be our guide, we can live dedicated lives for the kingdom of God.
His Word is living truth that is forever unchanging. Unwavering power abides in the Word of God, for it is sharp and pierces through hearts, cutting away the old man and, & renewing us in the likeness of Christ. There is a wholeness unlike any other that fills you when you believe and let His Word speak depths in your heart. In those moments is when we truly let God transform us and allow Him to give us the opportunity to fill our lives with true purpose and peace that is incomprehensible. As the body of Christ, if we let the Word of God transform us internally, we begin trust and rely on Him to provide for us, taking care of any need and as well as our future. “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
One of the most significant reasons such power lies in scripture is that the Word is a light of hope for the lost, for it is Jesus who is the living Word of God and the bread of life. “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14) Jesus is the Word of God in the flesh and it is because of the restoration of humanity through His resurrection that we are offered salvation. Scripture provides us with the tools to help save the lost in need of their Savior. Let us bare witness of the glory of God through the newness of spirit as we embrace the everlasting truth of God’s Word in order for us to share the eternal goodness of God with others in this world.
